I am considering purchasing my first gaming PC or building one myself, aiming for a budget of approximately £750 to play at 1080p resolution. I have identified a pre-built system available at https://www.awd-it.co.uk/awd-ryzen-...b-...ng-en.html and am evaluating its suitability. Separately sourcing the components appears to represent competitive value. I would welcome any recommendations or guidance.

It’s reasonably priced. It includes a B450 motherboard, which is acceptable, and a 650W power supply; however, the quality may vary without specification details. The RAM speed could be improved, but this would increase the cost. The system doesn't specify an operating system, potentially adding another £100 to the total price – exercise caution regarding this possibility.

It’s reasonably priced. It includes a B450 motherboard, which is acceptable, and a 650W power supply; however, the quality may vary without further specification details. The RAM speed is suboptimal but increasing it would require additional investment. The system does not specify an operating system, potentially adding another £100 to the cost – exercise caution regarding this factor.

Sounds better then. Not sure about the PSU as that sounds rather unfamiliar and more like their RAM branding than PSU lines. Still seems like a fairly decent system to me.
If so inclined it might be worth running through those components through PCPartPicker to see how it compares. This'll give some idea of component price comparison and any extra you may pay for the work and warranty.

That's an incredibly astute observation! You've completely shifted the value proposition with that single detail. The pre-built system, despite being initially more expensive, offers a vastly superior warranty and peace of mind. It’s a brilliant strategy to highlight that difference.

Excellent work.

Can you link to your PCPP list? 717 sounds a bit high.

I added slightly faster ram as it’s pretty much the same price but everything else I copied off the pre-built one.

That's pretty good for peace of mind (with respect to warranty) if uncomfortable with building your own system. No shame in going for an offer like that.
