can someone fix this on their Dell Inspiron 5000? Is it just bad water? Can they do it themselves? What's wrong with the screen?

It seems like your touch screen has broken apart in part. You probably won't be able to fix this on your own. If it's still covered by warranty, just ask for a new one instead.

I was selling things on Facebook for a little bit of money but decided to try fixing one myself instead. But I'm not sure if it can actually get fixed that way, so I have no idea.

It's hard to fix things on your own, and it isn't worth paying for one until you know if you can live with a problem.

can I take out my current display and install a cheaper, regular one instead of the touchscreen?
