Hi, I just purchased a Ryzen and am planning to assemble something powerful. I want to check if my PSU can handle the build. I plan to overclock both the CPU and the graphics card. The CPU is a Ryzen 7 1700X @4.0GHZ @1.4V, the motherboard is an MSI X370 gaming plus, the GPU is two 1080 Ti cards, the monitor is an Asus 2560*1440 27-inch, and I have drivers for a 72k RPM 1TB HDD and a 250GB SSD. The PSU is a Corsair RX 850W 80+ Gold, with a Corsair water cooling H100i cooler. I’m not sure if the 850W Gold will be sufficient for two 1080 Ti cards and an overclocked CPU.

I think a better motherboard fits within your budget.
The PSU should be an RXMX, that's sufficient.
Make sure you get a solid case.

Even when pushed to their limits, these parts likely won't exceed 600 watts. A robust 850-watt power supply should easily accommodate the load.

Even with heavy overclocking, I question if these parts would ever exceed 600 watts from the PSU. A solid 850 watt unit should definitely have enough capacity. You're wondering if two GTX 1080 Ti cards really only need about 600 watts.

I really like the mobo thanks to its black and red color, that's exactly what I want for my computer (black and red LEDs always). I'm getting a Corsair 400C as my case.

Even when heavily overclocked, I question if these parts would ever exceed 600 watts from the PSU. A solid 850 watt unit should definitely provide ample margin.
Are you certain only two graphics cards are being used?
Yes, it seems I overlooked that detail. Since you referred to "the video card" in the opening paragraph, I hadn't anticipated having two. In that scenario, performance could approach the PSU's maximum capacity when both CPU and GPU are under full load with overclocking enabled.

Really? Are you certain two GTX 1080Tis consume only about 600W?
Yes, I probably overlooked that detail. Since you referred to "the video card" in the first paragraph, I hadn't anticipated two. In that scenario, performance could approach the PSU's maximum under full CPU/GPU strain with overclocking.
Oh, I missed the plural there, sorry for the mistake. Thanks for clarifying—it’s reassuring to know 850W 80+ gold is sufficient so my electricity bill doesn’t turn into a monster.

I don't know where he went to computer hardware school, but 850w is the minimum for a 1080 ti in sli.
550-600w is sufficient for one ti.
Can you afford this?

It's just $240, but I'm not happy with the color. The chart you received suggested an 850W power supply. Thanks.
