Is this CPU cooler suitable for overclocking?
What? No. There are top-tier coolers available without needing to spend a fortune on them... you can skip the fancy design choices. Want something similar, even if it's not as efficient? You'll end up paying a big price for it.
I bought it for $129 and my CPU reaches 40°C with the i9-10900K. So you can decide how you want to play, but a better cooler really adds value.
What are they doing? There seems to be some missing details.
I understand this partially.
This isn't really the focus here.
Asus' ROG fluff hasn't been worth it for a long time.
A 240mm hybrid priced over 150USD isn't outperforming cheaper alternatives, such as their own TUF models? It would be better to invest in a decent 280/360 at that cost.
That's the point I'm getting at.
There are high-end coolers that come at a premium cost. Conversely, there exist inferior coolers that are also quite costly. There are also affordable options that are significantly cheaper. Similar to power supplies, the quality of a cooler depends on its exact model and intended use, as determined by professional reviews—not merely on price or unverified online opinions.
It also significantly underperforms when compared to many other 360mm options. However, it remains a solid option since, although it may not match the performance of some alternatives, it could potentially last longer in the long term. Therefore, the decision on which is better often depends on whether immediate performance or durability is more important.
