You're experiencing an issue where the keyboard backlight stays on even when the screen is off. After restarting, the PIN appears unavailable in Windows but becomes accessible again. Your hardware and Windows version are noted, and you're asking if others face similar problems, whether it's linked to Modern Standby or if reporting to Microsoft is necessary.

It seems like M$ is likely to take action soon regarding this issue. It might be a recent development if it hasn’t happened before. Check your UEFI settings to confirm wake-on-lid behavior isn’t set to power button activation. Also, ensure you’ve entered the correct PIN when prompted.

I never changed BIOS settings, so I make sure that all the settings are default. The only connective software change may be Process Lasso, but I also didn't change settings. Maybe it is problems of Process Lasso? No, there's no input box for enter PIN. Just text like 'Something went wrong and your PIN isn’t available.' But the box'll appear after restart.

It began quite some time back, perhaps six months? Yet this happens more often now than before.

Because process lasso isn't working well, it's probably not helpful to report it to Microsoft. If you discontinue its use and the problem persists, consider it. Otherwise, sleep mode issues in Windows remain a consistent challenge, especially with default settings like fast start or hibernation that should be disabled.

Oh, I missed mentioning that your VM without Process Lasso still has issues. It's less frequent than with my laptop, but I'll attempt to adjust the settings.

It depends on the context. If referring to a specific issue, it could relate to BITSUM or Microsoft's policies. Clarify for a more accurate answer.
