Is this a good pc?
Hello, with the arrival of the new 3080s and their releases I was considering upgrading my PC but wanted to understand what would complement it well. My friend recommended something similar and suggested going AMD:

I’ve usually preferred Intel and am not very familiar with it except for the memes about its performance compared to Intel, but I trust my friend’s advice which seems promising in certain areas.
I just wanted to share my general thoughts on a new PC and any suggestions you might have. Thanks.
Also, are anyone planning to get the 3080 or something comparable?
You now possess excellent equipment.
Your EVGA G2 offers top-tier performance, featuring the dual 6+2 power connectors expected from a standard 3080.
You’ll receive a 10 pin adapter that connects to two 8 pin adapters for the 3080.
Have you attempted to overclock your 6700K?
If not, you may unlock an additional 20% of performance potential.
As of December 4th, 2016
What level of overclocking is feasible with a reasonable 1.4v Vcore?
I7-6700K
4.9 5%
4.8 21%
4.7 64%
4.6 96%
Your 6700K supports eight threads and achieves a passmark score of 8961.
This represents full utilization of all eight threads.
The rating for a single thread stands at 2529, which is ideal for gaming demands.
For reference, the i5-10600K offers 12 threads with a score of 15174/3026—a significant improvement.
Regarding increased RAM, you probably won’t see substantial gains beyond gaming performance.

i mean yeah you cant get better than than for now.Although building it yourself would be much cheaper.
If i were to build that it would go something like this:

also the ram speed isnt showed in the link you shared, but i suppose its not that fast.
You could also go to INTEL route, but if you will be doing things becides gaming,AMD is your best option
Sure, I might assemble it myself since it's more affordable.
That seems to be the reason for choosing AMD—it's optimized for gaming above all else, and I likely won't use it for anything else except watching videos and Discord with minimal activity.
What is the resolution of your monitor? The 3900x seems excessive for gaming, especially compared to 3950x. Check gaming desks—3600 and 3700 often deliver similar FPS at lower resolutions and nearly identical performance at higher ones.
You're considering the Acer Predator 27-inch with a 165Hz max G-Sync. It's unclear whether selling it makes sense, switching to AMD, or upgrading to Intel components would be better. You're also unsure if the monitor will work properly and what your next steps should be.

This review discusses the i5-10600K and compares it to other processors. It highlights that Intel K-series chips generally offer turbo or overclocking capabilities of 5.0 or higher, while Ryzen models reach around 4.4. The author suggests keeping the existing 27-inch monitor unchanged and notes that the display should not significantly impact performance on an Intel or AMD CPU. They also mention that a larger or more immersive monitor might be useful for strategy, simulation, or MMORPG games, but recommend having a secondary monitor for tasks like email or productivity.
Here is what you have now.
Reviewing current options, it seems some elements can be reused effectively.
Long-term planning might not always work well.
Your requirements could shift unexpectedly.
Upcoming products might affect today’s market conditions.
Purchase what you require immediately or for the next one to two years, now.
Holding off for the next best option could delay progress indefinitely.
Next generation processors and Ryzen are expected to work with existing chipsets.
In reality, CPU upgrades typically involve new motherboards and chipsets.
This applies to both Intel and AMD.
Graphics cards offer a path for smooth future upgrades.
A suitable case and power supply can serve as solid long-term investments.
