Is this a full version of windows 10 or free trial?
Hey there, I saw you were looking for a way to get Windows on your secondary machine after the trial ended. You found a deal on "onthehub" that offers free Windows 10 for college students with a valid application. It sounded promising, but when you checked the details, it mentioned a limited-time "basic access guarantee" valid for just 30 days. Did this mean you’d get a full version with a guarantee against product removal, or was it another short-term trial? You’re not sure and need clarity—thanks for asking!
It's a 30-day test of the complete version. -- they've been doing this for as long as they can remember. I used to have a teacher who visited each classroom computer monthly to reinstall the WXP trial. (They always had to reinstall it every month, no matter what...)
I'm, not sure it's a trial. it might be telling you that you only have 30 days to get your key, and after that it's gone. Similar thing happened at my university. I could buy the digital download copy of WIndows 8.1, and it was $10. But if I didn't download within 30 days, or write down the key within 30 days, both were done permanently and I would have to repurchase it.
It's completely free. I'm using 8.1 Pro on my main computer from a key stored on The Hub. This simply indicates they won't reissue that key once the 31-day period ends.
