Hello everyone, I'm considering assembling a new PC for P3D2x. The Titan Z is impressive, but P3D doesn't support SLI, so dual 980s aren't feasible. Does anyone have experience using P3D with a Titan Z? Thanks!

I recognize the two individuals @Flight1sim and @AlwaysFSX from their usernames

I’ll let you know right away: the titan z is just one card, but the GPU’s on board are still in sli. So if the game doesn’t support sli, a 980 should be your top choice. I occasionally play fsx, but it keeps crashing on my new computer, which means I don’t play it as often anymore.

I used to fly quite often, but now it's a slow period for me. By the way, the Titan Z is a dual GPU card, which means you're spending a lot of money and wasting time on something slow. Consider getting a 970 or 980 instead.

A 980-second duration is sufficient for a flight slim model; the core component where actual physics occur. I run the flight simulations in the university basement—perfect setup. We can test formations or races whenever we wish, since all servers are on the same machine.

I’d rather dive into flight sim titles but they often feel low quality. Maybe you could focus on space flight sims instead? Elite Dangerous brings me joy, and I’ve played quite a few similar games recently.

Thanks for the feedback. In brief, FSX is a dinosaur running on a single core without official backing. But P3D by Lockheed Martin acquired the Professional license from Microsoft and updated the SDK in various ways to create a much more immersive experience. P3D now supports all cores, so even with my i7 2600k and GTX560, I get 30-40 FPS with added scenery, aircraft, textures, and weather. Plus, the developer I work for keeps pushing the limits of the simulator. Thanks, Richard.
