I own an ASUS TUF Gaming F15 FX507ZI equipped with an RTX 4070.
I was shocked to discover that my GPU is capped at around 100 watts, while it's listed as a 140-watt unit.
Cyberpunk consumes 70-80 watts and Starfield uses 90-100 watts.
This helps explain why the 4070 underperforms and consistently receives poor reviews.
Could there be anything I can do? The extra 40 watts would significantly boost its capabilities, and I feel like I was misled.

Following the Jarrods tech video, it seems the only option is to overclock. Even at full voltage, frame rates don’t improve noticeably between 100 and 140 watts. Seems like a scam by Nvidia.

On NVIDIA's site there isn't a 140W listing for the 4070 model—

115W is the highest available.

This is false advertisement on either Nvidia's part or ASUS's part. Never reaches 115watts, let alone 140watts. Not while gaming anyhow.

I'm using 2k or 4k through a monitor and DLSS, which seems to work well. The frustration comes from the 3070 140-watt GPU struggling with Cyberpunk at 1080p, maxing out around 140 watts. I'm playing Cyberpunk in 2k at high settings without ray tracing, achieving 100-120 fps with DLSS. I rarely exceed 98 watts.

When adjusting or modifying the power settings and voltage for these chips, keep in mind they are mobile versions, and laptops generally offer limited flexibility. What are the temperature readings for gaming on your laptop?

12700h hits around 85c during gameplay. The GPU stays under 70c all the time.
