Only when I play CSGO does my Afterburner briefly shut down, then it forces the fan to run at 23% with no adjustment option. This only occurs in CSGO, it overrides the fan curve I've configured for my GPU, and increases temperatures during extended sessions, which frequently happens.

It might relate to the trusted mode feature they introduced recently, consider including "-untrusted" in your Steam command line arguments.
