Is there an upgrade order available for a decent 4K Intel build?
My specifications are clearly defined. I was considering purchasing components to upgrade to 4K resolution. Since I won’t be acquiring everything simultaneously, my initial plan was to order a MOBO, CPU, GPU, and then a monitor.
CPU options: 13th or 14th generation i7.
GPU: 4070 – suggestions welcome.
I anticipate upgrading to two 16GB DDR5 7200 CL RAM units soon.
I’m just wondering about your perspective on the component order and whether you’d make any adjustments if you believed funds could be better allocated elsewhere. Appreciate your help ahead of time.
I understand your interest in the remaining components. If you're reusing your PSU from your current setup, please note its make and model along with its age. I won't be collecting everything simultaneously; my previous plan was MOBO, CPU, GPU, followed by the monitor.
If you extend the time before buying, it's best to buy all items together so your funds aren't wasted on unused parts.
After replacing the motherboard, you'll need to reinstall your operating system.
The main purposes for using this PC will be determined based on your needs.
If that's the situation then I'd consider a 27" 1440P display unless you're willing to invest in an RTX 4090, which is currently the sole genuine 4K gaming GPU.
Match this with a RTX 4070 Ti or RX 7900 XT and then you can enjoy all the latest games at high settings without spending much.
