I checked your recommended shopping list to upgrade the old Lenovo H50-55, but I couldn't find an AMD Ryzen 6 CPU. The Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 are plentiful, but a Ryzen 6 isn't available on Ebay, Ebuyer, Amazon or other sites. Could you suggest an alternative CPU that would work? It's my first build and I'm not sure if I'm making a mistake.

Thank you for confirming there is no Ryzen 6. I checked once more and found it to be a Ryzen 5 3600X. Issue resolved. Thank you.

I'm not confident about going forward, lol. Just placed the Gigabyte B550M Mobo and beginning this project. This is my first time tackling something like this, so I'm worried about making more mistakes.

A typical motherboard might struggle to fit into a Lenovo case. The front panel connectors could be unique. Be mindful of this.

Hy It started cus I had a lenovo h50-55 from new for 15 years and I fried the Mobo Dont know a thing about PCs but thought it was a good reliable machine so bought another one to fill the gap while i repaired the first one. The first one still awaiting repar but second one works perfect as well. Went on Toms pages and theres a shopping list on how to upgrade a h50-55 So Im giving it a try If it works out ok I will upgrade the other one and educate myself. They will always be windows 10 but who knows maybe someone will invent an upgrade to bridge from win 10 to win 11/ By then of course it will be windows interplanetary or something. Gotta keep chasing the dream lol
