Is there an issue with networking on a brand new Windows 11 system?
I'm still trying to figure this out!
I clicked the link you provided about reverting the software and did some research. I didn't realize that 23H2 stopped getting security updates on November 25th (about a month ago) and that 24H2 began auto-installing in July 25th. I hadn't even pressed the install button for 24H2 because I was aware of its issues.
Since 23H2 wasn't receiving updates anymore, I thought it would be best to check my office PC to see its status. And yes, there was 24H2 listed as my current version.
So now my question is: why do my non-password protected network PCs still permit file sharing even though 24H2 was meant to disable that feature if the password protection wasn't enabled? All other PCs except the new 25H2 SSD install can share files, but only when I reinstall the 25H2 SSD on the shop PC do I encounter problems. Now, with all other PCs (including 24H2) running, they still allow sharing, which is confusing.
Thanks,
BH
