Hello everyone.
I've been using Windows 10 on my Crucial MX500 for some time, but recently made a few hardware changes (switched from Ryzen 3 1200 to Ryzen 5 3500X, increased RAM from 2 x 4 GB to 2 x 8 GB, etc.). I also acquired a new Silicon Power UD90 PCIe SSD and intended to use it as my main Windows installation, while keeping the MX500 for testing purposes.

After installing Windows 10 on the UD90, I thought switching to Windows 11 would be better. I managed to boot from both drives without issues, but this morning the Windows 10 installation on the MX500 failed to start.

Windows 11 on the UD90 works fine, but when I booted into Windows 11, the boot drive on the MX500 showed up as an inaccessible NTFS partition with no data. In Disk Management, all partitions look healthy and show around 240 GB free each. When I checked the boot drive properties, it displayed the correct size (about 240 GB).

I inserted my Windows 10 USB drive and ran Notepad.exe; all files and folders appeared on the MX500 boot disk, confirming everything was present. Still, I couldn't get it to launch properly.

It seems there might be a straightforward fix, but I’m not sure how to implement it. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

So you put in WIN 11 then WIN 10? If that's the case, you should have done the other way around.

I'm not sure about that impression.
I have Windows 10 on my old drive.
Then I installed Windows 10 on the new drive and upgraded to Windows 11 using an ISO.
Thus, Windows 11 is running on the new drive while Windows 10 remains on the old one.
Now, when I boot into Windows 11, the Windows 10 drive appears in File Explorer as follows:
In Disk Management, it shows this way:
And when I open Notepad from CMD, the files and folders display normally.
