I'm adjusting my cooling setup by monitoring core temperature and fan speed. Are there any more affordable options available that allow recording data over time and exporting it to an Excel file?

If you're only monitoring cooling, logging data isn't essential. I usually just use Prime95 and/or FurMark (based on what you're testing) with HWInfo64 open. Reset the values before beginning, then observe temperatures during stress tests.
Prime95/Furmark are great because they keep CPU/GPU at full capacity while maintaining that load, unlike games or other applications that change their usage.

Yes, but this method allows me to continue playing simultaneously while providing a more accurate reflection of my actual usage patterns. I can also perform prime calculations.
