what i mean is that for productivity sessions using premier pro and davinci resolve, especially with weak vrms and unlocked boost/turbo duration, power consumption would reach 300w. temperatures would stay near 100c. considering this, a z790 board would be better. otherwise, it would slow down to base clock speeds and affect performance.
gaming shouldn't be a problem as shown in the graphs above.

Using the Z790 for an unlocked i7 requires higher costs. Consider matching one of the MSI boards I shared—12 phase models paired with a locked i7—to achieve similar performance at a lower price.

You're correct, B760 boards don't support unlocked turbo durations. There hasn't been a non-K 14700 yet, and I suggested the 14700 because of the extra E cores compared to the 13700 non-K. The main reason I recommended Z690 and 14700k is the limited boost clock duration with power throttling.

I plan to proceed with your latest DDR5 configuration.
I intend to update the storage ADATA label for the Samsung 980 PRO 1 TB and opt for the FD North Case.
Do you have any reason to consider the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X instead? (other thanks for the financial advice)
Also, @Why_Me
appreciate the suggestion for czc, but I prefer alza since I have a stronger customer experience there. (They will both build and test the PC)
Thank you

the ryzen 7950x is certainly the strong contender, yet intel maintains an edge with its fast sync feature. when your workloads frequently require the cpu to run at full capacity, opt for the ryzen.
pugeot systems accurately captured intel's quick sync advantage in their piece.
if you plan to transfer workfiles from the 980 pro 1tb and save the processed data to the 2tb, then a 980 pro is the right choice. if it's merely about installing the os and running programs, the 980 pro offers minimal value.
