Hey, So i have a
Razer Blackshark V2 X USB headset
, It’s been fine and havn’t had any issues really with it. Was gaming last night and had no issues, today when i go onto the PC i notice an update on Razer had happened while my PC was idling and a prompt was there to restart my pc, so restarted and now i have no sound whatsoever, The green light is on the usb dongle but i’m getting no sound. If i remove the 3.5mm jack from the USB dongle and plug that into the computer the sound works fine. I've tried removing Synapse and reinstalling it still the same issue.

What is the model and brand of the headset? You should attempt disconnecting it and reconnecting it. It functions properly!
My idea is that the Razer update might have reset or altered the audio settings in some way.
Right-click the small speaker icon usually located in the lower right corner of the screen.
A pop-up menu will appear. Begin with "Troubleshoot sound problems".

Return to adjust them only when necessary, ensuring you note the differences between original and new values.

The update changed the default audio output source; the audio coming from the 3.5mm jack suggests that device is likely the main one, rather than the USB connection to the headset.

Regardless of the number of audio devices your system supports, Windows allows only one to be active at a time. You can choose which one to use. In the lower left corner, click Sound settings to open a window. At the top, there’s a drop-down menu for the Default Sound Output Device. This section lists available devices on your machine, such as Realtek in your motherboard, a video card (if present), and possibly the Razer USB system. Make sure to select the appropriate one.
On the screen below, another selection appears for the Default Sound Input Device, and you might want to configure it to use the Razer microphone.
Once done, exit this setup and return to your main display to test again. You should hear sound through your headset.
