Check if you have a recovery key for BitLocker in case hardware changes occur or Windows updates affect the TPM firmware—such as with certain Lenovo notebooks. Right-click the drive and select "Manage BitLocker." Look for "Back up your recovery key." This code is essential if Windows can't unlock the drive on its own. You'll need to enter it manually. If your PC holds valuable information, you might want to turn off BitLocker. For notebooks used outside the home, enable BitLocker to secure data against theft. Without encryption, reading the disk becomes straightforward without a password.
