Hey guys, can anyone tell me what the right memory overclock is for this card? I looked around and saw people going up by 500 MHz or even adding 1000 MHz. Most people are hitting stable speeds around 650 MHz. Should I start with a lower speed first like maybe 40-50% higher than stock, or should I jump straight to the best settings? Do I need to pick between AB and Asus GPU Tweak II? Since my FPS in Rise of the Tomb Raider drops to 40 frames per second even when it's low, do a few extra frames at overclock speed matter a lot here? Also, if I set up my card for this profile permanently without saving all my old settings first, is that safe and won't risk damaging the card?

Every card and piece of silicone has its own quirks. Download OCCT, hit the GPU test button with error checking turned on. Boost memory to 100mhz and try it. If everything runs smooth with no weird stuff or crashes, bump memory up another 100mhz and check again. When you start seeing glitches, errors, or a crash, lower speed down to 50mhz and run a long test for hours. The longer the wait, the better, so higher temps won't ruin it. As long as voltages stay good and temperatures are fine, you can keep overclocking safely without any issues coming along later on.

I checked some online videos before trying to speed up my Zotac gaming1660 ti using AB. Most people just started with 1000MHz on the memory clock. I did exactly that, but the card crashed after a few seconds. Turns out I needed to add +50 volts to the core voltage. Once I added that boost, I could push the memory up to full speed of 1500MHz without any problems. Just remember this tip when you try to overclock it yourself.
