Hi everyone.
My gaming PC is experiencing problems where after a short period of use, several ports—motherboard Ethernet, on-board WiFi, SATA, and some USB—stop functioning unexpectedly. Restarting the system causes the DRAM LED to illuminate, but the system fails to boot. Only after reseating the RAM does everything work again, though the same issue recurs after further hours of inactivity, even when the PC is idle in Windows. Do you think this points to a faulty motherboard or RAM? Are there other possible solutions I should consider? I've already updated the BIOS, installed drivers, and reset Windows 10 without losing any files.

System specs:
Mobo: Gigabyte B650M Aorus Elite AX (rev. 1.2)
CPU: Ryzen 5 7600X
RAM: 32GB (2x16GB) Crucial Pro 6000MHz CL36
GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3070 Ti Gaming OC 8GB (rev. 1.0)
Storage: 1TB Team Group MP44L, 2TB Lexar NM710, 500GB Samsung 860 Evo (2.5")
PSU: Silverstone DA850
Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
I've tried updating BIOS
For the sake of relevance, what BIOS version are you on for your motherboard at this moment of time?
and resetting Windows 10 while keeping my files intact.
Did you perform a platform swap to the B650 chipset? If yes, you're going to have to reinstall the OS, after creating your bootable USB installer for the OS. Install the OS in offline mode, then manually install all drivers in an elevated command, while in offline mode.
PSU: Silverstone DA850
Tier - C'ish unit. How old is the unit in your build?

1. You are currently viewing the latest version on the site, version FB7.
2. Did you mean to upgrade my motherboard? If so, then yes—I transferred my Windows install from a B450 board to a B650 about a year ago. Thank you for suggesting formatting and reinstalling the OS; I’ll give it a try soon.
3. Also slightly more than a year old.

By swapping platforms did you intend to upgrade my motherboard? If that's correct, then yes, I relocated my Windows installation from a B450 board to a B650 about a year ago. Appreciate your suggestion of formatting and reinstalling the OS; I'll give it a try soon.

That was the issue you were dealing with. Restart your OS and it should resolve the problem. Disconnect all other drives except the one you want to install, clear the entire drive (remove all partitions), then install the OS.

You'll also need to reactivate the OS. If it's an OEM license key, a new key will be required because of the new motherboard and BIOS.
