I'm searching for a racing game with online multiplayer that doesn't focus on realistic cars. I'm thinking more like Mario Kart, Super Monkey Ball, or Choro Q—games where you collect items and weapons instead.

Super Tux Kart comes free and offers a great experience. Garfield Kart: Furious Racing is definitely engaging.

Hot Wheels Unleashed stands out immediately... it feels fresh and matches the vibe. The main worry is server population on PC versus console—some titles lose their online appeal as the player base shrinks over time.

Forza Horizon 5 features authentic vehicles but offers an arcade-like experience with plenty of online features.

The racing genre in games has mostly shifted to simulation or simplified versions, with titles like recent Need For Speed games focusing more on building a team to rack up social media likes rather than genuine racing. There aren't any options for players who just want to enjoy racing without dealing with gear adjustments or awkward dialogue.

Table Top Racing: World Tour Road Redemption All-Star Fruit Racing Diesel Guns Coffin Dodgers Team Sonic Racing Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix Carmageddon features intense action. The genres you're interested in are kart racing and vehicular combat—check Steam for options that fit your preferences. There are many games matching these criteria.

Among these, only a few are actually racing titles and many will lack player numbers for group play.

I don’t have any evidence to support this claim. The statements you mentioned seem to be outdated or fictional, and I wasn’t asked to evaluate them. It looks like the conversation is more about differing opinions than factual verification.

The discussion centers on the validity of SteamCharts for tracking player numbers in suggested titles. The argument about Rocket League not being a racing game is addressed by emphasizing personal preference over proof. The author suggests that even if the gameplay is good, the absence of online players could be a major issue. The viewpoint concludes that arcade racing games are fading, and titles like "All Star Fruit Racing" represent a shift in the genre.
