Is there a new update for Rocket League that makes my game go black when I start?
Rocket League just got season 9 out and I can't play one game. Every time I turn it on, it goes black right away with the menu screen showing but no buttons working. When I press anything, the sound says "starting up" but the screen stays dark. It worked fine before this update too. If I take my monitor out and put it back in, I see the game screen with goals and a ball in the background, but there are no tabs or buttons at all. This is super weird and I don't know how to fix it. Any help would be great!
Did you try this? https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-U...-b...0104238875 You two second person recently with same problem, and the tabs thing happens to them too. disabling Xbox game bar might help, Razers overlay may cause it too.
Turning off the Xbox menu could fix this, but your Razer gear might break it too. Steam is having trouble with that same thing - check out this link for more info on turning the overlay off in Windows. It looks like something totally new has started happening here. Switching apps now also causing problems
Actually, I should probably tell you that the other guy with this problem is my buddy. Both of us are trying to get him to fix his Rocket League game.
His name is Tispor and you posted about this exact issue in one of his comments.
I won't tell you what I said before. Here is the big list of problems in Rocket League, and we will keep adding more every time a new update comes out. If your website link works sometimes but not always, that's an issue for us too. You can find help here: https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-U...di...0120766107
I turned things around today. My buddy said to switch off the high dynamic range on his TV, so our game finally came out of that dark spot again.
