I've come across many discussions about this topic, but I want to understand how reliable the information really is. How exactly does monitoring or data collection work? Do people actually dig through your system and gather information? A lot of activities seem questionable, especially when they cross legal boundaries...*cough* piracy *cough* My concern is high when this happens.

I've grown tired of those sensational "MS is spying on you" stories and am now focusing on moving to Linux.

Really, even the pirated titles aren't covered by the Windows 10 EULA—it's part of the Microsoft Software agreement, which includes services like Xbox, Groove Music, Cortana, and more.
