Just turned on xmp, does that make a difference? I also have another 16 gigs of DDR4, haven't installed it yet, probably not necessary right now.

I usually get around 100 frames at 1440p ultra in bf1... it looks like I'm probably fine so far. Not sure if the XMP boost actually improved things much, but it did give me a few extra frames. Right now I'm stuck at about 120 frames on 1440p ultra—maximum settings I can reach are 1440p at 120hz in the options. It seems like a memory issue might have been the problem, and turning on XMP really helped. I'll keep you updated.

Yeah... after turning on XMP, the computer works really well. I'm stuck at a steady 120 frames at 1440p ultra, but before I lowered the settings to medium it felt a bit slow.
(The highest settings in BIOS are 1440p at 120Hz)
Tysm... that change in BIOS really made a big difference. The game runs perfectly now—it's amazing...
My GPU still stays under 85% usage, while my CPU usage is higher, with three cores often around 88% and one hitting 95%+. The other cores seem to be fine. The CPU clock usually sits between 3300-3600.
I'm not sure if it's a problem yet, but it's okay so far. Still wondering if updating the BIOS would help with DDR5 support. I didn't realize memory tweaks could be that impactful—I thought my RAM was fine.

These are from the same set as the other two sticks, not a separate kit.

It's common knowledge, if a bios update gets interrupted due to power failure, or any reason at all, it can brick your system unless it has some way to do a blind update or if the mobo has a fallback (second) bios.

The likelihood of being hit by a car is higher, so it isn't as dangerous or the power system in your area is unstable, but if that happens, you should consider investing in an UPS.

No one claimed it was that dangerous...
There remains a possibility it could occur.

my motherboard is meant to work with ddr5 memory, pcie 5.0 and 14th generation processors. battlefield is still running well now. i've also tried other games before, but xmp helped. now i'm having trouble finding a good game to play... it looks like all the 2k pc games are bad, the servers have many bugs, and they don't optimize the pc version at all.
