I've started playing Monster Hunter: World recently, with only a minor mod to tidy up some leftover code from the port. I haven't installed any significant mods yet.

The Harvest event just launched, and I only realized it was happening recently. Exploring Astera shows that certain textures briefly transform into a rainbow checkerboard for a short time, disappearing once I move to another area. This behavior is quite unusual. I'm running the game in DX12 mode. I haven't managed to recreate this issue in the stress tests from 3Dmark, and I plan to try more demanding games to see if the problem appears there too.

I've searched for similar reports but only found a few people mentioning the same issue before the Harvest event.

My graphics card is an RTX 3060ti Gigabyte OC PRO, less than a year old. Temperatures never reach the 65°C mark even in my room, which stays around 25°C, despite heavy usage, so heat isn't suspected to be the cause.

Updates:
- The card remains within factory overclock limits
- I haven't been able to recreate the texture issue in:
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- 3DMark Time Spy Extreme
- Port Royal and Time Spy Extreme stress tests
- I've removed the mod related to the 'spaghetti-code' and updated drivers, but so far it still doesn't appear in MHW

Isn't that answering your question?
The mod you had installed was not compatible with the new update of the game or you needed an updated driver. Either way, since you don't have any more issues, there is no need to search more into it.

It seems like you're wondering about paranoia and how it's affecting you. Thanks for asking!
