You can enjoy those games at low settings with 1080p, and expect around 40 frames per second.

Uncertain about "The Forest," but Minecraft should work, GTA5 might run but not smoothly, and Watchdogs could be somewhat similar if optimization has improved since my last playthrough—though it was a long time ago, so it might run better now. There are plenty of free-to-play games on Steam that should function well, plus a solid selection of 2012–2014 titles that the 750 Ti can handle nicely.

the forest isn't really a tough challenge, so it'll work just fine

You can quickly find free-to-play games by installing them and trying them out. Team Fortress 2, League of Legends, and Watchdog seem promising, though Warframe might be too much. Within those titles, League of Legends is a good fit, while Team Fortress 2 could work as well. Peace.

You have the option to enjoy a wide range of games, most of which are available. However, you won’t need to use the highest settings—adjust your preferences to discover what suits you best. Still, you should be able to play each one with different configurations.

You likely referred to a 750 Ti 2GB model. The CPU could be the limiting factor, allowing smooth performance in most modern games at 1080p with medium settings, achieving 35-40 frames per second.
