I attempted to locate a suitable program independently, but what I discovered was either non-functional, outdated, or not fully free. Could anyone point me toward a genuinely free option that scans websites for internal links and downloads content afterward?

While not addressing your specific need, I can imagine various scenarios where a download might fail. Visit a motherboard manufacturer's website, and it fetches the 9 distinct user manuals in multiple languages. Browse a Linux distribution page, and it retrieves all 18 available versions, including both the latest and older ones.

What would be problematic is not having to manually download the same document multiple times but in another version? Or not needing to search for the required version only to later delete the ones you don’t need? Or simply not bothering about it due to diminishing returns—saving time versus wasting storage space? Are you yourself tempted to delete all those language files in programs that don’t let you choose what stays installed?

Regarding large files, if a user expects a file to be measured in gigabytes, they shouldn’t be so careless as to miss the one big file they actually need. If they don’t expect this, it’s a sign of a beginner.

Are you looking for your motherboard User Manual in Chinese/French/Thai/Russian/Korean or English?
Do you require all 11 versions, available in three different editions each, currently displayed on the LinuxMint download page?

Remember that most platforms have safeguards against this type of mass download.

My requirements are extremely limited and small
Similar to, for example, preserving the link
https://kilgoretroutmaskreplicant.gitlab.io/plain-html/
since I don’t have time to review it now

A long time ago I needed to download a large number of files from a page, probably some free ebooks. After searching, I found this browser add-on to help with the task. It scans the current page and displays available downloads, letting you select what you want. It stops at the links on the page it’s viewing and doesn’t follow any external pages or crawl sites. It might be useful, but not guaranteed. I thought sharing it could be helpful even if it doesn’t work perfectly.

This is better than nothing
However, it appears unable to independently search beyond index.html files for fishing links to JPG images. Therefore, I still need to manually check each link to an HTML file in order to access the available download options for media or archive files inside them.
