Hi everyone, I’m planning to set up a new system with the specifications you mentioned. I’m checking if the XFX 1050W Gold power supply from my previous setup is sufficient. What are your thoughts? Any recommendations would be helpful. Thanks.

I'm curious about whether the XFX 1050W Gold power supply from my previous system is sufficient. Could you tell me how old it is and what it was used for before? It might be helpful if you could share a link to your unit so I can better identify the model for you.

This unit is a Seasonic X-Series inside, facing shutdown problems with recent high-end GPUs. The best solution is to swap it with an ATX3.0 PSU.

Hi,
I'm a bit younger, around eight years old. I purchased this in 2016 for my initial project. It's providing power for my latest build according to the specifications listed below. The model is:
https://www.pccasegear.com/products/3462...wer-supply
MSI Z170A Gaming M7 motherboard
Intel i7 Skylake processor
G.Skill RipJaws V at 3200 MHz
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC gaming graphics card
NH-D15S (Noctua cooling fan)
One SSD drive
