Hi, I noticed your Kingston SSD and the new WD Green drive. The Kingston was performing well before the upgrade, but now the WD Green is causing problems. Running installers or launching games causes the PC to slow down significantly, and even after booting, it takes a while for everything to start properly. I tried installing Windows 11 via CD and thought it might be from Windows 10, but it doesn’t work at all. What could be happening?

Check if TRIM was executed recently. On Windows, visit "Defragment and Optimize Drives" to check the last time it ran. If it’s been a while, locate the drive and select "Optimize" to apply the update.

The remaining 16% suggests it's likely a used drive that underwent storage-based mining.

They don't, which is why it's the weakest tier among their drives.

It would be useful to review a CrystalDiskInfo report. The drive health seems off unless the disk has been heavily used. Some drives older than ten years look fine, and even basic models shouldn’t show such extensive wear with regular use.

They seem to be implementing Western Digital Dashboard. If confirmed, I’d rely on it more than other options since vendors typically handle SMART records in non-uniform ways.

If only 16% remains, many NAND cells are faulty. You're close to losing all your data. Bring the drive back to its original source and avoid relying on that seller. You now have a damaged or heavily worn drive.

I've been using it for about two months. My Kingston SSD was around 80% capacity after four years, and I also replaced a WD NVMe Green drive which failed. Not sure what happened.
