Hello, I recently purchased a Rzyen 7 7800x3d and an ASUS b650e-f WiFi motherboard (the assembly is still pending). I’ve learned there have been problems with this CPU leading to reports of ASUS boards exploding, but it seems a recent BIOS update resolved the issue. Before using the CPU in the motherboard, I intend to flash the BIOS to ensure the latest version. My main concern is whether it’s safe to activate PBO or undervolting after updating the BIOS, considering these motherboards have had past issues with this CPU. Could you advise if this would be a risk of my CPU overheating or damaging the board? If it’s safe, what steps should I follow to enable PBO/undervolting?

Additionally, just to clarify, my GPU is a 4070 Super, I have 64GB DDR5 RAM, and my CPU cooler is a thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO.

Make sure you're using the most recent BIOS version by pressing the Asus BIOS FlashBack button on the back, reset the CMOS, and then proceed with the build or assembly process. This guide will help.

It's good to hear you're considering these steps. Just make sure you're confident about each action for maximum safety.
