I've been looking for a new wireless headset lately, and I'm particularly interested in one with wireless features. I found the Razer Barracuda X and wondered if it's worth buying. Does it offer surround sound since I often play FPS games? Also, does it include noise cancellation? Thank you ahead for any advice. If there are similar options around the same price, please let me know. I don't mind having an external microphone, so mic quality isn't a big concern for me.

The Razer Barracuda X offers a solid mid-range gaming experience at a reasonable price. Although its capabilities are somewhat limited due to its budget focus, it delivers acceptable sound quality and decent battery performance, making it a better option than many other low-cost headsets. Be aware it lacks surround sound or active noise cancellation found in newer gaming models. If those features are important, you'll need to invest another fifty dollars or more for the Barracuda Pro.

If patience allows and you can save more, the Pro headset is highly recommended. It features THX Spacial Audio and solid ANC, along with improved sound reproduction, a quieter internal mic, and extended battery life. It also includes practical accessories such as a hard case. For those strictly on a $100 budget, the Barracuda remains a decent choice, but the Pro provides better value for money.

For those prioritizing battery endurance, the Razer Kraken V3 Pro is worth considering. Despite missing ANC and offering slightly lower audio quality, it provides over ten extra hours of use compared to the Barracuda X's 30-hour rating, reaching 45 hours. However, if ANC is a priority, the Barracuda Pro remains the better choice.
