I chose to properly overclock my card because my first attempt was quite rough. My GTX 1080 MSI Gaming X runs smoothly at 2126Mhz core clock, which is 149 MHz more than the benchmark. For memory, I learned that boosting it by 500 is usually safe for most cards. Interestingly, my card now shows an added memory clock of +725, totaling 5730MHz. It remains stable with no artifacts or texture issues. Should I continue pushing these limits? Is it typical to reach such high memory speeds on a 1080?

Keep in mind that Unigine benchmarks are quite adaptable. After Unigine becomes stable, you'll need to adjust your settings when trying various games. ... especially with titles containing "Battlefield" in their name.

JackNaylorPE :
Be aware the the Unigine benchmarks are very OC friendly. Once Unigine stable, you will be dialing it down some as you try different games. ... mi\uch so in anything that has the word "Battlefield" in the title
Here's what techpowerup setlled on for their MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X
Core = 2050 MHz 1400 MHz (5600)
Note one thing ... you will often find, more often since Boost 3.0, that highest core and / or memory does not deliver the highest boost clock or the highest fps.
As for Guru3Ds testing, they went to
Core Clock: 1763 MHz
Boost Clock: 1955~2067 MHz
emory Clock: 5622/11244 MHz
Thank you for this information! I had my added clock at 149, but i found that 139 created the same overall core clock of 2126, so i settled at 139. For the memory clock, it began to crash at 875, and i had small artifacts at 850, so right now i have that settled at 800, so a total memory clock of 5805.
But i guess its just a matter of testing different games, then i can always lower it a bit if i start getting problems.
Thanks again!

I store profiles on MSI AB
1 - Strongest stable Core
2 - Strongest stable Memory
3 - Best stable combo (benchies)
4 - Optimal stable settings for most games (below these)
5 - Reduced settings for any game named "Battlefield"

I believe your clock speeds look quite accurate for a solid overclocking card. Your Strix 1080 performs similarly, and it seems the numbers you shared are at the higher end of what others have reported, which is great!
