Is the OC version of the GPU affecting the processor?
Hey everyone and salutations. I have a query about OC GPUs. Could an OC GTX 750 TI 2GB ASUS version GPU affect my processor or CPU lifespan? Does it cause any further issues? Is it better to opt for an OC version altogether, or should we revert to the factory overclocked state?
More than sufficient, this setup includes 30a at 12v, though the power supply isn't ideal. The main issue lies in the PSU quality rather than the total power capacity. While 300w is mentioned as a minimum, it's more typical for higher-quality PSUs with 20a.
Hello Sania,
The OC version is used as a marketing tool to attract WOW customers. You can even boost the normal GTX 750TI by increasing its clock speed, though this only affects performance when compared to the standard model. Higher clock speeds don’t impact your CPU directly. The OC GPU gains more performance due to increased heat. In my five years of PC gaming and overclocking, I’ve only changed the OC version twice to improve FPS in games like Crysis, BF, and other AAA titles. You can revert the OC version back to its normal clock speed. My recommendation is that purchasing the OC version won’t cause any issues, but a regular one will also work fine.
Pick the most affordable 750ti that isn't worth more than needed for an overclocked model. The maximum difference is around 3-4 fps in GPU-constrained games.

Hello Sania,
OC version is used in marketing to attract WOW customers. You can even boost the normal GTX 750TI by increasing its clock speed. The difference lies in the heat generated. Overclocking doesn’t affect your CPU, but an OC GPU performs better with more heat as a side effect. In my five years of PC gaming, overclocking only twice improved my FPS in games like Crysis and BF. You can revert to the normal clock speed if you choose. My advice is, if you buy the OC version, there’s no harm; a regular one can also work fine.
Thank you, please let me know if your PSU can handle an ASUS GTX 750 OC with 2GB RAM.

Does that PSU support GTX 750 Ti OC 2GB ASUS model? The GTX 750 Ti OC 2GB ASUS requires 400 watts and 20 amps.
More than sufficient, this setup includes 30a at 12v, though the power supply isn't ideal. The overall power demand isn't a major issue since the PSU quality matters more. While 300w is listed as the minimum, it's typical for higher-quality PSUs to support 20a.
