Based on this information, you can use an NVMe PCIe 3.0 drive, but it would be wise to check if your laptop already has an SSD first. Maybe leverage the SSD's specifications instead?

Yes, my laptop has a 2.5-inch SSD, but I considered swapping it out for an HDD and adding an NVMe SSD to increase the total storage capacity.
