I've been using Haier laptop since 2015. Overall laptop is in stock condition, except for this one time when I replaced my laptop's battery in mid 2021.
Now here's the problem. Whenever I shut down my laptop, either intentionally and following proper steps, or it goes off by battery running out, it takes forever to boot again. The issue persists even if its compulsory/automatic restart after Windows or drivers update. When I press the power button, the screen stays black (not even grey, meaning by the LEDs in screen don't turn on). Even attaching external monitor wont show any activity. After a very very very long wait, the screen turns on (you can tell by a slight change in the colour of the previously dark screen). Immediately, the Intel / BIOS logo and boot menu buttons show up, and from there onwards it works completely fine (until you shut it down again).
Anyways, following are my (outdated) laptop's specs:
CPU: Intel Core i3-4010U
RAM: 4GB DDR-3 SODIMM (1600 MHz)
GPU: Integrated Intel HD Graphics
Motherboard: JWU (U3E1) by Quanta
BIOS: KQ 122 (Insyde Corp.)
DX Version: 11
Windows: 8.1 Pro (x64)
I never experienced this issue until end of 2024. I've checked for almost everything from hardware to software. I installed fresh Windows, updated old software and drivers, installed various "PC Health Checkup" softwares to look for possible faulty hardware or software, got my laptop serviced from inside, even checked cell (battery) installed on motherboard . In short, I've checked everything I can, searched internet, ChatGPT, youtube, but I found nothing useful. I couldn't even find someone else reporting this problem.
Problem is so severe that I cannot shut down my laptop, or else it takes 12 to 24 hours to boot up again. I put it to sleep before turning it on again. I've checked BIOS settings too. There are no pending updates and everything is at default settings.
If anyone knows root cause of this problem and its solution, please help me out.

Did you swap out the button cell battery for your laptop, and is it properly attached?

Windows: 8.1 Pro (x64)
I downloaded a new Windows version.
Since I can't find the installer on Microsoft's site, where did you get it to do a clean installation?
What kind of storage are you using on your laptop?
Moved the discussion about the laptop from the general section to the tech support area.

No, I didn't alter it. The attachment is correctly placed and functioning properly (the date and time on my laptop remain consistent, even without the battery).

I actually set it up using the Windows Recovery options. The key was already with me, meaning it wasn't obtained from an unapproved source.

Verify Event Viewer. Also attempt hibernation rather than shutting down to determine any variations. Additionally, confirm there are no USB drives that Windows attempts to boot from.

Hi, I've already attempted all the suggestions you gave, but sadly the outcome remains the same.

There might be a chance of shutting down. Avoid doing so and opt for the sleep function instead. Don't forget to save your information.

would also replace the button cell.
Check RAM using Memtest.
Verify hard drive with the manufacturer's tool.
Run Windows diagnostics with DISM commands.
Use a different charger with identical voltage.
Ensure same amperage.
Confirm same connector.
Is the battery charging light active while the AC adapter is connected but the device fails to power on?

will do.
regarding the charging light, it stays on as long as the AC charger is connected to the laptop.
there’s another detail I want to note. I looked up "Last BIOS time" in Task Manager and it shows "3.6 seconds," but during the previous boot it took 11 hours and 30 minutes to 'catch' after pressing the power button.
after the BIOS logo appears (after 10 to 12 hours), the computer starts immediately.
