Is the game running fast but getting slow when I play a few frames?
I have a lot of stuttering in almost every game except for TF2, and my lowest scores are terrible around 3 to 1 frames per second while the average is about 130 fps. I only saw this problem once with Dead Space Remake, but it happens in every game I play so I think other games have the same issue too. I recently upgraded my computer and changed almost everything except for the hard drives, keyboard, and monitor (the monitor is about three months old), but the stuttering problem is still there. My current setup includes: CPU Ryzen 7 7700, GPU RTX 5070, PSU DeepCool GamerStorm PN850M, Motherboard 650M Gaming Plus with WiFi, RAM 16GB ADATA XPG Lancer Blade, Samsung SSD 970 Pro 512 GB, two 4TB Toshiba hard drive(s), and an LG Ultragear monitor. Here is what I tried: switching power plans, turning off the monitor's sound (NVIDIA high definition audio), enabling A-XMP, using DDU to reinstall drivers, making several windows restarts, deleting the Nvidia app, locking down frame rate and V-Sync plus G-Sync disabling game mode, disabling the game menu and bars, uninstalling SCF, SCANNOW, and scanning commands, installing games on SSD instead of HDDs, checking disk health (all 100%), unplugging the LAN cable, unplugging the keyboard or mouse. The latter seemed to help a bit (the mouse is old) but I am not sure yet, so I will need to test with a different mouse. Problems started before I installed MSI Afterburner, so that can't be the issue either because the GPU is connected via 12V 2x6 connector, so that also isn't the problem. I use Display port. Maybe the bus usage could be a cable problem? It seems to frequently hit 100%, but when I googled this I couldn't find any information on whether that could cause problems or how to fix it.
Hi, I'm on the basic card that worked when I put in the new board. It didn't seem like a problem at first, so I'll try updating it now and let you know what happens.
