Hello! I’ve faced some challenges with my 3080 over the past couple of days and feel quite puzzled. As someone in IT, I’ve tried every possible solution I can think of. Here’s what I’ve done: I attached a photo of my screen for reference. To give you some background, my previous 3080 failed in late 2023 and I returned it via RMA for this model, which now shows issues after a year. I don’t play games much and keep my PC mostly idle due to my demanding work schedule. After turning it on for a short VR session, I noticed a white, fuzzy display on one screen but not the other.

I suspected a driver problem with my Samsung G7, updated the firmware, tested both display ports with the original cable and a new spare cable, then checked BIOS settings – everything seemed fine. I changed the main display out of the PCIE slot into the onboard graphics and booted normally. I reinstalled drivers, updated to December drivers for the card, and even swapped the display cables around, but the issue persisted. After rebooting and resetting displays, the same white fuzzy problem appeared on Display 1 (Samsung G7) and not on Display 2 (Samsung G3). I tried using a spare DP port cable on the monitor and switched sources, which resolved it temporarily.

I’m leaning toward a software fix rather than hardware failure, since the secondary monitor still works. I’ll try reverting to the driver from late 2023, possibly moving it to a different PCIe slot. If you have any advice or steps I can take, your input would be really appreciated. I’m determined this isn’t a hardware issue and won’t play games until I’m sure it’s resolved.

Current setup: Intel i9-10850K, GIGABYTE AOURUS Z690 ultra EVGA 3080, 64GB DDR4 RAM, all M.2 SSDs, Windows 11 PRO 23H2 (avoiding 24H2).
