I find the VRM suggestions around 9800x3d a bit excessive. I use a 14 phase 60a unit and it performs very well (MSI MPG X870E EDGE TI) across two separate systems without any problems. Temperatures stay excellent even during continuous 100% load, and I haven’t encountered any stutters or issues.
While I understand that 110a is definitely a better option, I don’t think it’s the only choice available.
I suggest a minimum of a 12-stage VRM and steer clear of anything below that, though I note that 60A should be avoided as it might not be fully justified.
