they are textures, yes? I’m not sure if water textures appear blurrier at certain angles, but reflections seem to cut off when using SSR. Does the AF setting work for them?

Typically they do. It's possible there are exceptions.

For screen-space reflections, I believe it's not ideal since the reflections appear consistent no matter the angle you view them on, similar to how water textures behave.
