Hello! The B365 chipset is compatible with 9th generation Intel processors. For your I3 9100F and ASRock B365 Pro4, you should be able to use them without needing a BIOS flash. No need to worry about AMD options.

Sure. Unless local pricing is exceptional, it might be wise to compare other CPU options. Or if you're relying on quicksync based on workloads.

B365 and Z390 come with 9xxx CPUs included as stated earlier. I wasn’t sure why you’d skip asking, but I’m not going to. What I mean is that if you give them a bit more time, it might be worth it for Intel’s 10th gen chips, since the leaks we’ve seen suggest they’re superior to their current offerings for the price. I don’t think there’s a clear reason to buy the 9100F right now unless you already own a compatible motherboard and can’t sell it otherwise.

the only reason i mentioned not wanting suggestions was that most forums i read had about one third of them being good, which isn’t ideal. i prefer intel and want a clear answer on whether the 10th generation supports the processor. thanks for considering the latest options.

You don't have to flash the BIOS. As we always recommend, it's better to get a stronger CPU for the price. If the only reason is that, then you're missing out on something important. If you're committed to Intel and stick with it, buying this one is really not worth it because of the weak CPUs at the lower end. The next generation will offer better performance.
