Is the 24-pin PSU cable properly connected?
Budget (including currency): N/A Country: N/A Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: N/A Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): N/A Hello all... I am helping a friend build a PC and the 24-Pin to the Motherboard won't sit in all the way. If I turn on the switch on the PSU the Motherboard will light up but no other power is working, no fans. Here is a Picture of how it looks plugged in. We have tried a bit of muscle and wiggling it but still nothing.
This side seems to stick out. Got it, I missed the expanded part nearby.
Do you have an additional 24-pin to try on the board? There seems to be an issue with one of the two connection sides.
When disconnecting the 24-pin connector, ensure the two sections fit snugly together. Some connectors feature channels where the second piece slides in to secure them, while others rely on you pressing both sides together. While removing the connector, examine the metal contacts inside and gently move each wire to verify full insertion and consistent depth with other contacts. Before connecting it to the motherboard header, slide your fingers 2-3 inches under the board below the header. This creates a cushion that supports the board and helps you push the connector firmly until the clamp engages with the plastic on the header for a solid connection.
Thanks... I understand everything already. The issue is that I'm in the USA while the builder is in Germany, so we're relying on Discord and Pics for updates. We finally installed the 24 Pin connector this time. The next challenge is getting LED lights on the motherboard and a power light on the GPU, but we haven't received power to the rest of the system yet.
