Hello, my 970 is acting up and I'm curious if 1050ti would make a good temporary GPU until the price of the 1070 drops (hopefully). I mostly play pubg and gta 5. Rest of my PC setup includes an Asus z270 prime mbo, an i7 7700k with Corsair H100i v2 cooling, 16gb Corsair Vengeance lpx @2133, and a Corsair rm850 PSU. Thanks for reading.

why not attempt to get a used cheap 970 since it's superior to 1050ti

why not attempt to get a used affordable 970 since it's superior to the 1050ti
All the 970 models priced over $300 feel more reasonable compared to the 1050ti

why not consider getting a used cheap 970 instead of a 1050ti
All the 970 models priced over $300 feel more reasonable to me
And if you've owned one before?

All the 970 models priced over $300 seem reasonable, and I don't think I'd pay that much for one.
Have you tried? There are some eBay listings around $200, but after dealing with cryptocurrency mining, I feel like I'd get something someone really beat.

why not attempt to get a used affordable 970 since it's better than a 1050ti
All the 970 models priced over $300 feel reasonable to me
Have you tried? There are some eBay listings near $200 but after dealing with crypto mining I think I'd be looking for something more valuable
I'm 100% open to trying a 1060, it's not too far from 1070 maybe, and new ones are around $280

There are some on eBay around $200, but after dealing with crypto mining, I'd prefer something that's been beaten by others.
You're right, 1060 is a possibility—probably not too far from 1070, and new ones are usually around $280.
I'll likely have to go that route. Just wish I could figure out why my 970 is so frustrating. It's been annoying me for the past 1.5 hours.

I’m 100% sure you can manage a 1060, it’s not too far from 1070, and new ones usually cost about $280
