Does RGB really enhance the experience, or does it genuinely improve your gameplay? When you feel more confident, your performance tends to rise. It might seem like a simple question, but it could actually strengthen your confidence and boost your abilities. If your gaming PC feels sluggish, this could make a difference. Based on what we’ve discussed here, what are your thoughts? Or is it just a psychological boost?

Placebo effect 100%
RGB acts as a distraction while gaming, causing flickering and shifting images that pull focus away, which might hinder concentration during intense moments.

Having a well-performing rig offers advantages. It allows for higher FPS and smoother use of better monitors. The same applies to quality mice, keyboards, or controllers. What matters most is the player themselves, not the equipment. No amount of lights or effects changes that. Why? Because gaming isn't about appearance. Be honest, people don’t look cool while playing. RGB only adds noise. Do you really pay attention to your gadgets while gaming? Probably not. You focus on what you see and hear, reacting based on those inputs. Not the movement of your mouse or keyboard. In fact, I’d say it’s a distraction.

I have 8 RGB case fans and mouse and keyboard. I think I play games better! I modified my PSU to use RGB fan. Is this something people will hate?

It's widely understood that blue light causes eye strain, while red light is associated with sexual behavior, making green LEDs the most reasonable choice.

I dont think that even fits as a placebo, because I DOUBT there is a real effect in gaming, and placebos usually DO HAVE some effects. I would call a pseudo-placebo at best

The placebo works since many people genuinely think it offers them a benefit.
