Hello, your build looks solid with the NZXT N7 Z690 and Corsair Vengeance RAM. Regarding the CPU, it's a good idea to consider the latest leaks before committing to a 13th gen. Since you're primarily gaming and not running heavy software, a 12th gen processor should still perform well for now. Just keep an eye on future updates and performance trends.

Just playing games is enough; 12,600k should still work fine. The newer chips might slightly outperform, but unless you really need it, it might not be essential. Keep in mind you'll also require a top-tier GPU to truly see the big improvements—most tasks won't be obvious, especially if you're only going from 255 fps to 240. Also, these new chips could get hotter, depending on their increased power consumption.

You've already secured the other components? Better go with the 12th-gen now instead of delaying. Raptor Lake should add just a small boost compared to Alder Lake via marginally larger caches. Nothing major. If boosting the E core count isn't crucial for performance, it probably won't make much difference.
