Is ram causing windows 11 to run slow?
I just added new RAM: G.Skill Trident Z NEO Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4-25600) CL16-18-18-38 1.35V Dual Channel Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C16D-64GTZN from Amazon.com. This brings the total PC memory up to 128 (mixed). Windows seems to be behaving oddly with file drags and loads. Did the RAM installation change anything about Windows 11? Should I reinstall it?
Which is the previous RAM model? Are they identical in memory? Passmark Rammon states what it says. Running xmp?
Xmp is confirmed active. Identical RAM configurations are present. The message indicates: RAMMon v2.4 version 1000 built using SysInfo v2.3 version 1002. Software details: PassMark 32768, RAM Type DDR4, Max Clock 1600 MHz. Memory capacity 32768 MB, total physical 130977 MB, available 118426 MB. Load percentage stands at 9%. Item slots numbered 1 through 4 are listed. RAM specifications: DDR4, 1600 MHz, 3200 MHz, 2666 MHz. Bandwidth reaches up to 3200 MB/s. Device specs include 16 banks, 8 ranks, 64-bit bus, 1.2V voltage, and various timings compliant with JEDEC standards. Manufacturer details show G Skill Intl production, with module serial and part numbers provided.
Looking for the right motherboard, the newest BIOS updates, and whether it works without XMP.
I haven't tried without. I think it's not the newest version, and honestly I'm uncertain about installing the BIOS. lol I bought the iBUYPOWER TraceMR Gaming Desktop with AMD Ryzen 5600X, 16GB DDR4 RAM, AMD RX 6600 XT, 1TB HDD plus a 500GB NVMe SSD Black TraceMR2060 at Best Buy. The RAM, power supply, and storage have all changed. That's the system I have. I assume this is the motherboard: Gigabyte B550 UD AC.
Disable DOCP/xmp settings. Manually adjust primary timings while leaving others auto. Use 1.35v voltage. If DocP is active, the profile is for 2x sticks not 4.
