For $1000, you could obtain a superior build; have you considered AMD? This is what I’m receiving with the Ryzen 3000 series release. Please review: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/tXc4cY. Potentially modify the graphics card and case, but this is your decision.

AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor ($174.99 @ Walmart), MSI B450 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard ($109.99 @ B&H), Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($89.99 @ Newegg Business), ADATA Ultimate SU800 512 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($57.89 @ OutletPC), Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($44.89 @ OutletPC), MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB VENTUS XS OC Video Card ($279.99 @ Newegg), Cooler Master MasterBox MB510L ATX Mid Tower Case ($49.89 @ Newegg), Corsair CXM 550 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($59.99 @ Amazon). Total: $867.62. Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available. Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-05-06 07:30 EDT-0400. For a $1000 you can get much better systems than that, like the one up here. This will decimate the one you are planning to buy.

I had no intention of reaching $1000; I simply aimed to demonstrate the value achievable with a customized build, even at similar expenditure.
