Is Overwatch2 safe now?
When there are stories about games crashing due to hardware failures, it usually just means the game is encountering issues with already damaged components, such as the problems we saw with New World and EVGA 3090 cards. Current computer parts shouldn't be easily broken by software alone; it would need deliberate malicious intent to affect working hardware. Overall, it's been safe so far.
When you check the areas where problems show up, they tend to appear with newer hardware. I've been using OW2 for a few hours each day on a GTX1070 (used) without any serious issues. There were some performance hiccups at startup and occasional lagging, but nothing unusual.
Hi Drm, I think I've reached a conclusion that whatever it was, it's likely resolved. But I have to ask—do you really not know? (3 questions) In OW2 I'm seeing lower FPS than in OW, even in practice range, which feels similar to the old version. During R6 sieges I've noticed strange internet issues: connection drops, packet loss, and the game freezes for about five seconds. Can I follow you? I know the fix exists technically, so I can help the whole community. Of course, I won't bother you or quote you unless it's a misplaced thread while I'm trying to stay online for speed. Thanks!
It is new game with newer visuals. Your GPU was budget when it launched. So maybe drop some of the visuals down a bit if you are between good and playable fps. We are talking about fast-paced competitive shooter. And there's reason why games like Fortnite, Valorant and CSGO have graphics like they were made in 2005. Could be everything from game patch issues to your ISP changing something to something temporary. If someone doesn't like that you are following them, they can ignore you. Following here isn't same as being friends on Facebook. Its more like following someone on Twitter or Youtube.
