You can disable your USB mic in software by adjusting its settings to turn it off when not required.

Launch Devic e Manager.
Pick Audio inputs and outputs.
Right-click the USB microphone,
Disable it.
Check that the microphone is off and no other mic is active.
For confirmation: Unplug the USB microphone and/or any other mics.
