Is My Overclock Stable?
Hello, two days ago I increased my CPU's clock speed. I attempted to reach 4.5 at 3.50 volts but the system crashed when running prime95 with large FFT for 20 minutes. The next day I adjusted it to 4.4GHz still at 3.50 volts and ran Prime95 for an hour without any issues. During CS:GO playtime and internet browsing afterward, everything worked fine. Current temperatures are around 70 degrees during full load and 40 during idle. Today it ran smoothly and even played Mario Galaxy well. What do you think?
You've missed some key details, like the processor being overclocked and the exact components involved. Also, the voltage you mentioned (3.50 volts) seems incorrect—please verify that right away. Running stress tests on someone else is challenging unless they have similar hardware.
Wow, I really can't believe I messed up that joke. My CPU is a Core i5 2500K and it's running at 1.35 volts. I'm using an ASUS P8P67 motherboard with a 750W PSU. Sorry.
