Hi, I'm having a problem with my SSD going up to 100% for random times like 30 to 60 seconds on one specific game. The game is called New World. I looked everywhere on the New World forums and can't find any solutions. This only happens in New World. Chrome works fine, watching movies or videos keeps my disk at 0%. If the disk isn't full, it sits around 30% to 60% and then jumps all the way to 100%. Sometimes just opening a new tab or launching a program triggers this spike too. My computer has these specs: Windows 11 with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700x graphics card from Nvidia, a 500GB SSD with 338GB free space, and a PSU with Corsair cooling, running at 650W power with 16GB of RAM. I've tried: updating the graphics drivers, updating Windows, reinstalling New World, reinstalling Windows, going back to old graphics drivers, resetting virtual memory, lowering graphics settings and resolution in the game.

I guess you mean that open-world online MMO game? Do you have it on Steam? If so, please check if your game files are okay by running the verification tool from there. It sounds like this might be a problem with just this specific game. Just follow these steps: 1) Open Windows and press the key to open Run. Type %appdata% into the box that shows up. Go deeper in the folder structure, look for Roaming under AGS, then New World. Delete everything in the Save data folder there. Also, delete user_preload_settings.cfg if it's a text file in that same spot. 2) If you want to be extra safe, also go to your Computer's AppData folder and find both C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local\AGS and C:\Users\your name\AppData\Roaming\AGS. Delete the folders there too. Then restart your computer so everything gets made fresh again. 3) Try playing the game now and see if your hard drive usage goes up a lot or not.
